When I first came across an ad for this version I ignorantly huffed that it was unnecessary. Of course I was very wrong. Crave has issued a perfect review so I’ll let you read theirs, but let me summarize exactly why you need this model:
1. It can play files directly from a USB drive–no more burning CDs all the time.
2. It can control midi or other computer files.
3. It can now be manipulated much like a turntable (rubbing the platter to “fine-tune” a mix (a bad habit yes but an essential technique).
and on and on. Read the review and get two.
